Real Stories: Ceramic Crowns (Pam)

Pam
Ceramic Crowns

"I missed my smile and now I have it back! Prior to getting the crowns I never smiled ear to ear, and now I cannot stop smiling. My husband loves it too! My smile makeover included several crowns on my upper front teeth, and Dr. Smith and the team worked with me to understand the procedure and how to utilize my insurance plan in the most cost-effective manner. They were unbelievable - humanistic and professional at the same time. I was also extremely impressed by Dr. Smith and Brenda, her dental assistant's, attention to detail, making every effort to ensure the crowns look beautiful yet real – totally not like the stereotypical 'chic-let look'. All I can say is WOW!!! Thank you Dr. Smith and Brenda – your work, patience, dedication, and lovely demeanor are very much appreciated. THANK YOU!" - Pam

Pam is the perfect example of the incredible impact of cosmetic dentistry. Developing all ceramic crowns with the help of Aurem Ceramics Dental Lab, Dental Health and Wellness Boston created a glamorous yet natural smile for Pam.

By first understanding Pam's personal dental goals and aesthetic preferences for her new smile, we carefully designed her crowns to compliment the shape of her face, the curve of her lips and even took into consideration her complexion and eye and hair color to choose the tone and brightness of the crowns.

As with all of our cosmetic dentistry patients, a natural, rejuvenated, youthful look was the goal for Pam. Advances in modern ceramic restorations – crowns (website page link) and veneers (website page link) – allow us to mimic natural tooth structure very accurately. By varying the color gradation from top to bottom and increasing the translucency at the biting edge, the ceramics look almost identical to natural teeth. We are also able to add small white speckles or minor imperfections to further imitate existing teeth. The final result for Pam – a noticeably more beautiful smile with inconspicuous dental work.
