My assistant and I remember vividly the day we met Siobhan, as she wept with embarrassment and covered her mouth. Her husband was transferred here for business and she would be in the country for only a year. Siobhan is originally from Ireland where prevention and dental care is not at our level, and had a childhood accident that led to the loss of teeth. Her dental condition was quite compromised and complex and required the expertise of specialists and many advanced treatments to bring her to beauty and health.

Julia’s personal story is an interesting and unbelievable one… her dental story is very typical of what we see of dentistry from people who have received care in Russia. When I met Julia many years ago she was a college student from Boston University. Originally from St. Petersburg she was discovered by a wealth family travelling in Russia where she was a tour guide. This family was captivated by her personality and offered to sponsor her education in the United States. Soon after her arrival she developed tooth pain, and ended up in my care as a referral from a dental colleague. The family who sponsored her instructed me to treat her as I would their own daughter, and fix her teeth completely.
