Real Stories: All Ceramic Crowns

Peter
All Ceramic Crowns

"Dr. Smith and her team provided personalized professional consultation from the minute I walked in the door of Dental Health and Wellness Boston. They conducted a comprehensive analysis of my dental needs and put in place a plan designed to address my immediate issues and take care of other priorities over time. I am extremely pleased with the result of my new front tooth from a cosmetic and practical point of view. Dr. Smith absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way. I had no idea that this level of dental care even existed. The entire team is obsessed with excellence and is passionate about delivering the absolute best result. I had been unsatisfied with the bonding of my front tooth for years due to discoloration, roughness and its unnatural look. Dr. Smith provided a permanent solution that has the added benefit of outstanding aesthetics. The size, color and texture of my new tooth looks completely natural and changed my whole smile. It was the best decision I ever could have made."

Damien
All Ceramic Crowns

Damien is a successful salesman who was always embarrassed of his smile. His front teeth cross over each other in the front and affect the way his lip moves when he talks and smiles. Damien’s mother could not afford braces for him as a child. Damien had come to a point in his life and profession that it was time to have the smile he had always wanted. We discussed orthodontics, either Invisalign or tooth colored brackets and wires, but I could not convince Damien to pursue this option. “I talk for a living, and I really just want quick results.” During our consultation and diagnosis we decided to treat 5 teeth, and kept the color identical to his natural teeth, we even added white speckles so they would match perfectly. We restored three with all ceramic crowns and two with veneers. Take a close look and see if you can tell which are real and which are ceramic! He now loves his smile… and no one would ever guess they are not the teeth he was born with!

Margaret L.
Tooth Repair and Ceramic Crowns

I do not remember why or when I began seeing Dr. Jill Smith; but I do know that it was my fortune to do so.

Not long after my first appointment, I broke a front tooth just two days before my son’s wedding. She told me to come right in and somehow repaired this tooth which had been filled to capacity by another dentist. She advised me at the time that, because my four front teeth were so fragile, the next procedure would be to crown them. In the meantime, I was able to head off to Pennsylvania for the wedding confident that I looked my best. I call her my dentist; but I always think of her as an artist as well. She is certainly a perfectionist both technically and artistically.

Joanne
Crowns to Repair Broken Front Teeth

The most important time a patient needs my services is when there has been an accident that has broken their front teeth. Worried about how damaged their teeth are and whether they can be fixed or saved, we will often receive a call from a patient anxiously requesting to be seen right away. Joanne telephoned after having slipped in the shower, breaking her right central tooth in half and dislodging an existing crown on her left central. We had her come right in and examined and x-rayed her teeth to verify there wasn’t any hidden damage to the roots or other teeth. Luckily there was no additional bad news for Joanne and we reassured her we would fix her as good as new. Within an hour I was able to temporize her teeth and send out to the lab to have a ceramic crown to identically match what she had prior to her accident.
