Tom’s smile transformation with tooth whitening and veneers is a great example of appearance enhancement dentistry for men. Tom is a strikingly handsome man with a high powered career that has him often in the public eye. Tom’s wife was also a patient of mine but he claims it was his administrative assistant who told him to get his teeth fixed. His photos for the corporate brochure were requiring Photoshop retouching to correct his smile and she thought he should have them fixed.

As seen in his before pictures, Tom’s teeth had been damaged long ago car accident and had been restored a few times by other dentists with composite bonding. Tom wanted this time to restore his teeth with a long lasting, more natural and durable material so he could look good and not worry about his teeth for a long time. He also felt that professionally he could benefit from this as well. He may not remember this, but he told me he wanted to look like George Clooney! With photographs and models, we decided tooth whitening and 6 veneers would give Tom this great smile.

Tom is very pleased with his treatment and has several times expressed how happy he is with the way they look and feel to him. His most memorable comment to me was when he was relaying a story from a dinner party with friends he hadn’t seen in quite some time, some as far back as his wedding day. They noticed his teeth and were impressed with what a difference the teeth make in his smile. Tom said “I wish I could go back to retake my wedding photos…wearing my new smile!”
